Dear HOTT Bowlers:
On behalf of our tournament committee and volunteers, the management and staff of Mel’s Lone Star Lanes, and the management and staff of Club CP… I want to thank you for sharing the 10th anniversary of HOTT with us!
Words cannot begin to describe how much all of us enjoyed having you as our guests. It was doubly rewarding to witness everyone having fun and bowling so well!
We have already made progress in planning for HOTT 2010. Everyone’s feedback made it clear to us that we needed to secure the facilities at Mel’s Lone Star Lanes for next year’s tournament. I’m glad ya’ll now understand our decision to relocate.
I would be remiss were I not to thank our generous sponsors, donors, advertisers, vendors, and volunteers. This tournament would be severely lacking without the support of a great, great many people.
Last… but not least… I again thank YOU, dear HOTT bowlers, for not only participating in this year’s event but also in helping us support our charity: OutYouth Austin. Your spirit of giving and camaraderie were not lost on the OutYouth volunteers and directors who visited the lanes during the tournament. Their comments made us very proud to not only serve as your hosts, but also to serve as representatives of IBGO.
In closing, I once again wish you Good Luck… and High Scores.
In Unity, Fellowship, and Communication,
Dennis Lind
Director
HOTT 2009/2010
HOTT is proud to support OutYouth Austin as its charitable benefactor for our 2009 tournament.
Since 1990, OutYouth has been the only resource for sexual minority youth, including GLBTQ youth ages 12-19. They operate a two-story drop-in center in North Austin that includes, among many resources, a library that easily exceeds 2000 volumes. The library is just one of the great amenities made available to Central Texas youth.
And while OutYouth is very fortunate in that a very generous benefactor paid off their mortgage in 2007, they still need all the help they can get to ensure funding for their carrying costs (there's nothing inexpensive when it comes to Austin real estate!)... not to mention funding their program expenses.
On belalf of OutYouth, I wish to thank all of our HOTT 2009 participants, sponsors, volunteers, and friends for helping us embrace and support this valuable resource for Central Texas GLBTQ youth.
